Direct Deposit Financial Aid

Direct Deposit allows your refund check to go straight to your bank account. The Financial Aid Office highly recommends direct deposit:

  • To prevent forfeiture of your Federal Financial Aid if you don't pick up your check within 21 days of the beginning of the quarter
  • To avoid long lines
  • To save a trip to the bank
  • To prevent lost checks

Important Information

Under new Federal regulation, financial aid checks must be picked up within 21-days of issuance. Students unable to pick-up their checks in this timeframe should authorize someone else to pick-up the check on their behalf using the following form: http://manuals.ucdavis.edu/PPM/330/330-12a.pdf

Students taking no action to pick-up their checks within the 21-day time limit risk forfeiture of their Federal financial aid.
