Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Instructions

This appeal is for applicants who would like to request review of their SAP status for financial aid consideration. Please read the following information before submitting a SAP Appeal.

To be eligible for federal, state and institutional funds, a student must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Standards. Failure to maintain these standards will result in a suspension of Financial Aid Eligibility for subsequent terms. Your Current SAP Status

Your SAP status and any financial aid holds can be viewed on your MyAwards. The SAP standards are listed below:

  • Pace: Students must complete a minimum of 67% of cumulative attempted coursework/units for their program versus annually.
  • GPA: Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) as indicated below:
    • Undergraduate: 2.0
    • Graduate: 3.0
    • Veterinary Medicine: 2.0
  • Maximum Timeframe: Units attempted may not exceed 150% of the published program unit requirement.
