Scholarship Committees
UC Davis is one of only a few UC campuses where scholarship applications are read by committees comprised of faculty, staff, and students to determine a student's eligibility for scholarships. This personalized approach can take into consideration a variety of factors that are not necessarily reflected in a Grade Point Average or SAT score.
Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships, Honors & Prizes (CUSHP)
- This Committee, which defines general scholarship eligibility for UC Davis, reviews, evaluates and scores all eligible scholarship applications from entering freshmen and transfer students, as well as, those from continuing students.
- Each scholarship application is read and scored by two CUSHP members. The overall scholarship score, which is a factor of the two reading scores and the student’s GPA, is what determines the amount of scholarship funding for which the student may be eligible.
Regents Scholarship Administrative Advisory Committee
- This Committee, made up of faculty, staff and students, is responsible for the recruitment, selection, recommendation and monitoring of Regents Scholars to the Chancellor. The Committee reports to the Vice Provost, Undergraduate Studies.
