William Jefferson Clinton Scholarships

Dates and Deadlines

Scholarship application deadline:
Spring:  November 15, 2016

Summer:  March 15, 2017

Fall:  May 15, 2017

AWARD

10 students will be selected each semester as recipients of the Clinton Scholarship and receive full tuition and dormitory housing for one term at the American University in Dubai (AUD).  Board, textbooks, transportation, and extracurricular activities are not covered however.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. U.S. Citizen
  2. Be currently enrolled full time as an undergraduate student
  3. Have completed at least 1 undergraduate year by the time the scholarship is received
  4. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Applicants should have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement and leadership experience.  Preference is given to students who show interest in being exposed to the Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures for the first time.

Successful candidates will further the goals of the Clinton Presidential Foundation to strengthen the capacity of people in the United States and throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence.  Recipients will also expand their educational and cultural horizons through study in the Arab world.

CAMPUS PROCEDURE

Students interested in applying for the Clinton Scholarship need to submit a completed Applicant Profile to the Undergraduate and Prestigious Scholarship Office at scholarships@ucdavis.edu.  The Undergraduate and Prestigious Scholarships Office will work with each applicant to modify and strengthen the application to prepare it for submission.  Once the application is ready for submission, the applicant will need to submit the final application through the Clinton Scholarship website.
