Disbursement and Direct Deposit

The Student Accounting Office

The Student Accounting Office is responsible for the University's accounts receivable, that is, money owed to UC Davis. All financial aid funds are disbursed by the Student Accounting Office, located in 2100 Dutton Hall (second floor).

Direct Deposit of Financial Aid Funds

For students who are enrolled at UC Davis, Student Accounting offers Direct Deposit service from your student account to your bank account, with notification by e-mail of each deposit. The service includes financial aid, stipends, and any other account credit balances. To sign up for this service, visit the Direct Deposit Web site. You will need your UC Davis Login ID, password, student I.D. and PAC (Personal Access Code), and a current personal check (with your bank account information) to sign up.

Financial Aid Disbursement

After you enroll in courses each quarter, you can check your billing statement online at mybill.ucdavis.edu. The statement will also include the amount of authorized financial aid credits available in your account. If there are funds not yet disbursed, check the Additional Requirements on eFAN and submit all required documentation to the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office must authorize disbursement before financial aid funds can be credited to your UC Davis account.

At the beginning of each quarter, one third of the total amount of your available financial aid is transferred to your UC Davis account to pay your outstanding charges to the University (i.e., Registration Fees, Housing, etc.). After all of your charges are paid, a difference payment is issued for the remainder (if any) of your financial aid. You can either stop by the Student Accounting Office at 2100 Dutton Hall at the beginning of each quarter to pick up your payment, or you can arrange to have the funds deposited directly to your bank account (as described above).

Full-time Enrollment

  • Undergraduate: 12 or more units

(Note: Undergraduates are required to pass an average of 39 units per academic year to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

Note: Financial aid funds cannot be released to students who are on a waiting list for courses/units until the units are authorized. Financial aid cannot be used to pay debts incurred in the prior academic year.

Students who change enrollment status from full-time to part-time must notify the Financial Aid Office by submitting a Change-In-Aid through MyAwards. Financial aid awards would be adjusted as necessary.
