Keeping Track of Federal and Institutional Loans

Keeping Track of Loans

Money management is the key to your success after college. It is good practice for students to keep track of their loans. Below are two resources you may need to review for your complete loan history.

Federal Student Aid

Federal Student Aid is a repository with details on all your federal student loan and federal grant information. Federal Student Aid shows all your current loan holders from all institutions you may have attended. Federal Student Aid does not track private loans or institutional loans awarded by UC Davis.

MyAwards: Loans at UC Davis

Financial Aid developed MyAwards: Loans to help you monitor and review your student loans at UC Davis. MyAwards: Loans can help you track the federal and institutional loans you accepted at the UC Davis campus. You will be able to see current interest rates, the cost of borrowing, and your estimated monthly payment based on the amount you currently owe.  Also, we have estimated your Direct Loans at UC Davis and provided tools to project your future loan indebtedness and loan payments. MyAwards: Loans will not include your student loans from other schools (transfer students). MyAwards: Loans will not include graduate loans awarded for post-graduate expenses such as the Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP), Bar, or Residency Loan programs.

To log in to MyAwards: Loans you will need your UC Davis LoginID and Kerberos passphrase.

Private Loans

Private loan information is not available through Federal Student Aid or MyAwards: Loans. Students should work with their lenders to keep track of these loans on their own.
