ACT Foundation Second-Year Scholarship Program Current freshmen who will be enrolled full-time as sophomores in the following academic year.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. March
Alpha Kappa Alpha Students entering their sophomore year or above with a GPA of 2.5 or above and demonstrated community service and involvement. April
Avalos Foundation Scholarship High school seniors or current community college transfers from Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Yuba, Sutter, or Colusa counties who demonstrate financial need. April
AXA Achievement Scholarship High school seniors who are U.S. citizens or legal residents who demonatrate ambition and drive, determination, as well as respect for self, family and community. December
Beyond the Boroughs Low income students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater. March
BMI Student Composer Scholarship Students who are citizens of the Western Hemisphere that are studying music and are under the age of 28. February
Bryan Cameron Education Foundation High school seniors with an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.7 or greater, with broad extracurricular involvements, leadership qualities, and have demonstrated active participation in community service or civic activities.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens. September
Burger King McLamore Foundation High school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater. December
California 4-H Youth Scholarships High School seniors and current undergraduates between the ages of 16 and 25 who were enrolled in the California 4-H Youth Development Program at the time of high school graduation. August
California Association of Collectors California high school seniors. January
California Grocers Association Scholarships High school seniors and current undergraduates who are CGA member employees or children of CGA member employees. April
California Transportation Foundation Many programs available for students interested in transportation. Various
Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organization Students who will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year with a 3.75 or greater GPA. April
Coca Cola Scholars Foundation Four year scholarships for entering first year students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens, nationals, permanent residents, refugees, asylees, Cuban-Haitian entrants, or humanitarian parolees. October
Daughters of the American Revolution Variety of scholarships for DAR members. February
East Bay College Fund Scholarship High school seniors attending an Oakland public high school that demonstrate financial need and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 - 3.7. March
Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Juniors and seniors who will write about an ethical issue. December
Ellice T. Johnston Scholarship for Ceramic Arts Upper division undergraduate students with two or more years of art education and an interest in ceramic arts.  Applicants must be residents of or students in Oregon or Northern California. April
Far West Agribusiness Association High school and current undergraduate students from the states of Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, or Nevada. March
Foundation for Rural Service High school seniors with an interest in returning to a rural community upon graduation. March
Frank M. and Gertrude R. Doyle Foundation Graduates of either the Huntington Beach Union High School District, Huntington Beach Adult High School, Washoe County School District, or Washoe Adult High School. March
Golden 1 Credit Union Scholarship Scholarships for credit union members or dependents of credit union members with active community service and extracurricular activities with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. January
Good Tidings Foundation Community Service Scholarship High school seniors who have served their communities and have financial need.  Must be from one of the following California counties:  Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, or Yolo. October
Horatio Alger Association High school seniors with financial need and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater. October
Houzz Scholarship High school seniors and current undergraduates who are 17 years of age or older and are enrolled in interior design, architecture, landscape architecture, or architectural engineering programs. December
Jack Kent Cooke College Scholarship High school students with an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater, SAT scores in the top 15%, demonstrated financial need, and who plan to enroll in a four year college the following fall. November
Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Current students at two year institutions or a recent graduate with a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 or greater, plans to transfer to a four year college the following fall, and have demonstrated unmet financial need. December
James Hoffa Memorial Scholarship High school seniors who are dependents of teamsters. March
Junior Achievement of Northern California Glenlyon Scholarship 4 year renewable scholarships for high school seniors from Northern California with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or greater.  Recipients must participate in or volunteer with a junior achievement program. March
Kern Community Foundation Scholarships Scholarships for residents of Kern County. March
Maisin Scholar Award For SFUSD students with a 2.0 or greater GPA and commitment to educational and career goals. March
Marcus Foster Education Institute High school students from the Bay Area.  Most of the scholarships are for students within the Oakland Unified School District. March
Mensa Education and Research Foundation Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident may apply. January
NAEHCY Scholarship High school seniors or college freshman who are or have been homeless. June
National Foster Parent Association Foster youth, adopted youth, and biological youth of currently licensed foster parents may apply. March
Orange County Community Foundation Scholarships Variety of scholarships for students who are from Orange County, California. February - May
Pedrozzi Foundation Scholarship High school seniors and current undergraduates who graduated from a Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District high school. March
PG&E Scholarships Variety of employee-sponsored programs for students residing in PG&E service areas. February
Quirk First Generation Scholarship Incoming freshman and current undergraduates whose parent(s) did not complete any post high school education. May
Quirk Foster Child Scholarship Incoming freshman and current undergraduates who are currently or were placed in foster care, a ward, group home, or private home of a state-certified caregiver/foster parent. December

Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara High school seniors and current undergraduates who attended at least four of the six years between grades 7-12 and graduated or received a GED from Santa Barbara County high school.  Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or AB 540 eligible. January

SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund Full-time students who have completed at least 50 credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater, are U.S. Citizens, and are planning careers in the automotive industry or a related field. March
Senior Planning Social Work & Eldercare Students with fewer than 90 credit hours who are working towards a social work degree who intend to assist seniors and the elderly in their career. July and December
SEO Optimizers Scholarship High school and current undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater who have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others. Monthly
Shawn Carter Foundation Scholarship High school seniors and current undergraduates who are US citizens or permanent residents, 25 years old or younger, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater. April
Silicon Valley Community Foundation  Variety of scholarships the majority of which are for current or former residents of San Mateo, Santa Clara and San Francisco counties. February - May
Sixt Scholars Program High school seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or greater. November

Temecula Wine Society's Nancy Johnston Memorial Scholarships Upper division and graduate students majoring in viticulture and enology. October
Union Plus Scholarship Program For current and retired union members or their spouses and children who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. January
Vegetarian Resource Group High school seniors who have promoted vegetarianism in their communities. February
Washington State Scholarship Foundation High school seniors from Washington State with financial need. March
