Important Updates

  • The priority filing date for the 2024-25 FAFSA and CADAA has been extended to May 2, 2024. Visit Apply for Financial Aid for details.
  • The Department of Education has announced they will send information from the 2024-25 FAFSA to schools in mid-March. This may result in a delay in financial aid packaging and offers for the 2024-25 academic year. While awaiting your financial aid offer, we encourage you to utilize the UC Davis Financial Aid Estimator to estimate your potential aid.

Twenty (20) scholars will each receive $100,000 along with programming and mentorship support towards the first two years of a graduate degree in the United States.

Eligibility

  • U.S. Citizens or DACA recipients
  • GPA of 3.5 or greater
  • Will enter the first-year of an MD, MBA, JD, MPP, MPH, EdD, or MS/MA in a social science or STEM program in the year applying for the scholarship

Candidate Profile

Samvid Scholars is seeking to identify future leaders and changemakers who are committed to effecting positive change in society.  Applicants should have a strong demonstrated record of leadership and service, clear future career objectives for enacting positive change, and plans to enter an eligible graduate program in the year of scholarship application.  The program will select scholars based on five (5) factors:  academic excellence, leadership, service focus, bias towards action, and grit.
