Newly admitted freshmen participating in the STEP program are REQUIRED to complete the following steps to be considered for summer financial aid:
- Submit your Statement of Intent to Register.
- Submit a Statement of Legal Residence.
- File a 2023-24 FAFSA or a 2023-24 CADAA by June 21, 2024.
- The Department of Education will close the applications on June 30, 2024.
- Complete all 2023-24 verification requirements.
- Requirements can be viewed in your MyAwards.
- Submit an online Summer Session Application (available in March) to the Office of Undergraduate Education.
- Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units to be considered for financial aid.
- Waitlisted units do not count towards the 6-unit requirement for disbursement.
- See Important Summer Dates for important dates regarding STEP.
- Once the previous steps are completed, STEP students can expect to be packaged with financial aid by early July 2024.
