Summer Abroad and Summer Abroad Internships are UC Davis’ summer study abroad programs, led by UC Davis faculty during the summer months. With over 50 programs in multiple countries including domestic programs in the U.S., students will engage in short, intensive academic courses that are complemented with group excursions and cultural activities. UC Davis Summer Abroad and Summer Abroad Internships programs are open to all UC students. For questions about UC Davis Study Abroad programs please contact the Global Learning Hub. Be sure to visit the Funding Study Abroad webpage for information regarding scholarships, awards, budgeting, and additional financial resources.
Financial Aid
Financial aid for summer sessions differs from academic year aid. Limited funds are available during the summer, therefore, students are highly encouraged to plan, budget, and apply for available scholarships. Summer aid consists of federal and institutional loans, and minimal grants are available to eligible students. For more information regarding the summer financial aid process and for estimates, please visit Summer Financial Aid and use our Summer Abroad Estimator. For questions regarding your financial aid, please send us a message through Contact An Expert.
UC Davis Students: If you are a continuing student, your registration serves as your application for summer financial aid. You must enroll in the courses tied to your abroad program during summer registration in order to be packaged with summer financial aid. Please be sure that when enrolling, you are registered into at least six (6) units. You will need to obtain the specific CRNs for your program and enroll during summer registration.
Non-UC Davis Students: Students attending any of the UC campuses may apply to participate in a UC Davis Summer Abroad or Summer Internships Abroad program. During the summer, your home campus will be responsible for verifying the cost of your program, your enrollment with UC Davis, and award you available and eligible financial aid. Please contact your home campus Financial Aid and Scholarships Office for more information.
