Outside Scholarships

United Methodist ethnic minority students enrolled at the junior or senior level in journalism or communications.

Applicants must complete an essay.

Scholarships for visually impaired high school seniors.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents.

Full-time college sophomores and juniors with cumulative GPA's of 3.0 or greater that are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have an interest in working in the media and entertainment industry.

Scholarships for students who have attended and/or graduated from a high school in Crush District 11 (San Joaquin County north of State Highway 4; and Sacramento County south of U.S. 50 and east of Interstate 5), or have a relationship with a farming operation in Crust District 11.  Applicants must be pursuing a career in agriculture, with an emphasis on viticulture, enology, agribusiness, agricultural engineering, or agriculture education.

Children of active duty, reserve, honorable discharged, or deceased while serving US. Marine Corps member or U.S. Navy Corpsman who served a U.S. Marine unit.

U.S. citizens, nationals, permanent residents, and DACA eligible students who are enrolled full-time with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater that will be entering junior or senior year.  Applicants must have faced significant barriers to education, be committed to diversity, and be a member of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Rising juniors and seniors majoring in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or business administration, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Students who are legal U.S. residents, and are dependents or immediate relatives of a medical transport crewmember that lost their life due to an air medical or critical care transport accident.

Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident may apply.

U.S. citizens or permanent residents of Hispanic origin who have financial need and graduated from S. California high schools.  Applicants can be high school seniors or current undergraduates and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Scholarships for high school seniors and current undergraduates of Iranian descent with cumulative GPA's of 3.0 or greater

Scholarships for full-time undergraduates who will enter their junior year or above in the fall.  Applicants must be pursuing a career in live entertainment, permanently reside in the U.S., and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.  Applicants must have experienced homelessness within the last four years, and/or been part of the foster care system any time after the age of sixteen.

Scholarships for full-time undergraduates who will enter their junior year or above in the fall and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Applicants must be pursuing a career in live entertainment.
