Award

The McCall MacBain Scholarship is a full graduate scholarship to McGill University in Montreal, Canada that provides 30 students with the mentorship, interdisciplinary learning, and global community they need to accelerate their impact on the world.

Eligibility

  1. Meet one of the following:
    1. Be a current undergraduate who is on track to graduate with your first bachelor’s degree by summer of the year following application
    2. Have earned your first bachelor's degree in the past five (5) years
    3. Have earned your first bachelor's degree more than five (5) years ago and were under the age of 30 on January 1 of the year of application
  2. Meet the minimum degree and language requirements for McGill University

Campus procedure

The process you will follow depends on when you graduated and your citizenship:

  • Candidates who are Canadian citizens and those who graduated from UC Davis more than two (2) years before the year of application will apply directly to McCall MacBain Scholars without needing to be nominated.
  • Candidates who have graduated in the current or prior calendar year, or who will graduate in the upcoming year, must be one of UC Davis’ three (3) nominees. Candidates seeking nomination must contact the prestigious scholarships team indicating their intent to apply, submit the McCall MacBain application, and select to share it with our office by the foundation deadline. UC Davis will review all applications, select nominees, and submit nominations by the nomination deadline.

All candidates are encouraged to schedule advising by sending their full availability along with a CV/resume to the prestigious scholarships team.
