Award
The Fulbright US-UK Summer Institutes are 3-4 week programs hosted at designated locations in the UK. Recipients will receive roundtrip airfare, tuition, and fees at the host institution, accommodation, and in some cases a small daily allowance for meals. The summer 2025 programs are:
- King’s College London (England): Modern Britain: Institutions, Power, and People
- Queen’s University Belfast (N. Ireland): Understanding Northern Ireland
- University of Birmingham (England): British Cultural Heritage
- University of Bristol (England): Arts, Activism and Social Justice
- University of Lancaster (England): Film
- University of St. Andrews (Scotland): Scotland’s History: Kingdom, Nation, People
Eligibility
- Be a US citizen and possess a US passport
- Be at least 18 years old by the start of the program
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6
- Have at least two years of undergraduate study remaining after the Institute finishes
- Have had little or no study or travel outside of the US
Candidate Profile
The Fulbright Commission seeks students who are academically excellent and have a focused application, a range of extracurricular and community activities, demonstrated ambassadorial skills, a desire to further the Fulbright program, and a plan to give back to the US upon returning.

Students interested in applying should contact Prestigious Scholarship Advisor Scott Palmer to schedule an advising appointment or to have application materials reviewed. Applicants may only apply to one institute and should carefully review the focus of each institute. Applicants should review the terms and conditions before registering and starting the application.
