One year paid fellowship ($39,500/year + full benefits) to work as a research assistant to a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Approximately 12 students receive the fellowship each year which begins on August 1.
- Must be a graduating senior at time of application or have graduated within the previous academic year
- Must not have begun a graduate degree
Students are applying to work on a specific program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and should, therefore, research the available programs for the year. Applicants should have completed a significant amount of coursework related to their program, and it is generally helpful if the applicant has already done research in their discipline as well. Fellows work as research assistants so applicants should have a strong desire to work in research. Language and other skills may be highly desirable or required for certain programs. Applicants with an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.6 or greater are encouraged to apply.
The Gaither Junior Fellowship program allows participating campuses to nominate two (2) applicants for consideration. To be considered for one of UC Davis nomination slots, interested candidates should submit a completed Gaither Junior Fellowship Application (with all documents listed on page 2) to Prestigious Scholarship Advisor Scott Palmer by the campus deadline.
