DATES AND DEADLINES

Application status: Closed

Recipients will receive $15,000 to implement a year-long, sustainable public service project.  Up to $7,000 may be given to the recipient as a scholarship to cover educational expenses, with the remaining amount funding the service project expenses.

Eligibility

  1. Students from any country can apply
  2. Sophomore or junior at time of application
  3. Top one-third of class ranking

Candidate profile

Applicants should be outstanding leaders with strong communication skills and a demonstrated interest in public service that displays a desire to “make a difference” in local, regional, national, or international communities.

The application requires an innovative, original, public service proposal. Applicants will need to dedicate time and effort to submit a well-researched and compelling proposal.

Starting in 2025, candidates now apply directly to the Strauss Scholarship Foundation through their website. Applicants are encouraged to schedule an advising appointment with the prestigious scholarships team, emailing their full availability, CV/resume, and potential public service project ideas.
