Scholarship Status: Closed
Scholars receive up to $50,000 ($25,000/year) in “last dollar” financial aid for their junior and senior years, a $10,000 stipend and free Airbnb housing for a summer work-travel experience between junior and senior year. Scholars also receive leadership development, attendance at the Obama Foundation Fall Summit, and $2,000 annual Airbnb travel credits for 10-years after graduation.
Eligibility:
- Plan to enroll full-time in junior year at a U.S. college or university in fall and have two years of full-time enrollment remaining before earning a bachelor’s degree.
- Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or individual granted DACA status.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Have a demonstrated commitment to public service and plan to pursue a future career in public service upon graduation.
- Able to commit to full program participation and develop an actionable Summer Voyage.
Candidate Profile:
The Voyager Scholarship seeks to develop young leaders who can bridge divides, help solve societies biggest challenges, and share a curiosity and conviction for making a positive change in the world. The scholarship seeks students with a passion for helping others, experience serving and or building community, and an expansive view of what’s possible through public service.
