  • To be eligible for summer aid, a student must:
    • Be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) units total during the summer term.
      • The six (6) units can be in any combination between all sessions which includes Session 1, Session 2, and Special Session.
    • Have a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file
      • Have demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA/CADAA
    • Have established residency with the Office of the University Registrar
  • Financial aid is offered based on all registered units, including waitlisted classes.
  • Students should have all verification and documents requested by our office submitted and completed.
  • Maintain status of an active degree-seeking student as determined by the Office of the University Registrar
  • For most financial aid to disburse, a student must be enrolled in at least six (6) units.
  • Students are required to acknowledge the Code of Academic Conduct through MyUCDavis at the start of each summer session.
  • The Summer Advantage Grant will disburse in the session where the student is enrolled and participated in at least 10 units. Eligible students must have financial need as determined by the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file. Visit Billing and Disbursement for examples and additional information.
  • Repeating a course for a second time during the summer term may affect financial aid eligibility. Please see Changes That May Affect Your Aid for details.
